People Subject

Up to now, I haven't posted as much as I would like to, and what I have posted, there have been no portrait photos, which is actually what I get hired to do most. Today, I got a new portrait lens, and decided I wanted to post some photos I've shot in the past......So here we go.

This was one of my first shots with professional gear.

Birds making me dizzy

I have a very nice 200mm lens on loan from work, and I decided to put it to use during its time in my hands. I took it to a local park last night, in hopes of finding some wildlife, and all I could find were some tiny birds, that were zipping from tree to tree. It was a unique challenge trying to get these birds in the shots, and keeping them in focus to boot. I managed to get a few nice shots, and saw a robin in the parking lot that was a breeze in comparison to the little birds.

Getting There

Last year, we went up to Waterfalls Lake lodge to do some fishing for a week end. The passenger in my car, decided to take a ton of photo's, and since were heading back up in about a month, I've decided to go through the photos, and post some of my favourites.

We started getting signs in Muskoka...there was no looking back after that!

There are tons of these monuments lining Hwy 400 and Hwy 69

Finally arriving at our destination

On a guided tour of the lake, we saw a beaver....we thought it was funny, but than again, 5 guys, and a rather large beaver jumping into the lake....insert your own joke here__________

2 cars, and we both took this photo. I just don't get it what this sign is trying to say. Ok, I do, but its more fun to read it wrong!

"Derek, why is the bear blue? Is he lacking oxygen?"

After 4 days with just guys, the bottom sign was funny!

We are still planning on having some fun with this one, Photoshop.

This thing still freaks me out when I fish around it. The wings move when its really windy, and the creaking sound they make is creepy.
